Good location and tourist-friendly prices. We could visit everything we needed like Noordelijk Scheepvaartmuseum as it was within walking distance the hotel. One of the dining options, De Uurwerker was 5 mins walk away

Excellent location, very close to the central train station and walking distance to all the main attractions of the city. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. The room was clean and basic, the bed was comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was fast.
It can get noisy at night, especially on the weekends when the area gets crowded with people going out. , the entrance to the hotel is not very well signposted and can be hard to find, which can be frustrating if you're arriving late at night or with heavy luggage.

I always stay in this hotel when I come to the University. However, this stay was a bit more disappointing than normally.
- I took a double room, but was given a "twin" with 2 single beds. Reason: "there was a group of 10 ppl who walked in tonight". Well, not a valid reason. - Shower cabin was small and the door only opened towards inside, not outside - had to take it with an open door. - No hair drier in room. - My colleague was given a used un-cleaned room.

Spent Christmas in this hotel, which was really nice. the room was clean, as well as the bathroom and the bed was cozy. the hotel is located in a great area; it is within walking distance to the city center and also near a picturesque canal. One of the best aspects of the hotel is that they offer a free breakfast which was great.
There were many bars and restaurants nearby which made it very noisy at night.

Location is perfect. Room was very quiet too (on University "Harmoniegebouw" side). Nicely designed rooms: minimalist, modern, with soothing colours. Plenty of places for excellent breakfast or morning coffee around the corner (e.g. Pigalle, Simon Levelt).
It's a long walk to the rooms in the 20-23 range. Essentially you have to corner the building three times, and there is only one way to get there.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel in the heart of the city. The location was absolutely perfect, right in the center and surrounded by lively pubs and cafes. Despite being in a noisy area, the rooms were surprisingly quiet and peaceful, thanks to the thoughtful provision of earplugs. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth check-in process. The room itself was clean and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and even an extra bed if needed. I was pleasantly surprised by the large balcony, which offered a great view of the bustling square below. The breakfast provided was delicious and satisfying, setting me up for a productive day at work.
Nothing to fault, all was perfect.

This is a basic, simple hotel. The room was clean, fresh and adequate. It is not the hotel for you if you are looking for luxurious rooms that you can spend all day in, but if you want a comfy bed to sleep in and a well equipped shower room with an excellent location for visiting Groningen, this is your place. The staff were unobtrusive but helpful whenever required. Would definitely recommend it.
